Our Week in Review …

We spent the entire week cleaning the shelves, finding items for our portfolio, grading work, talking about our mistakes, et cetera.  Overall, we did not address any new topics formally.

We put things in our notebooks and watched a great deal of Discovery Streaming and Netflix.

This week during our science and history I allowed “little fish” to pick the video(s) for the normal lesson time.  Sometimes, you can find learning best received when it is their choice.  Topics ranged from pharaohs to Jesus and from dolphins to rockets.  It was a very informal week of study, but she watched many, many videos on a very wide range of topics for both subjects.

Language Arts:  Diagramming and Outlining practice for review.

Gilgamesh the Hero: Lesson 10 in BF guide.

Math:   Decimal review and practice.

Science:  Checking on this slice of bread is almost ritualistic at this point.  We are at week three of the mold growth.  Yes, I know.  This was a one-week experiment!.

Week 3

Merry Christmas!

“For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given: and The Government shall be upon His Shoulder: and His Name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty GOD, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His Government and peace there shall be no end, upon the Throne of David, and upon His Kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of Hosts will perform this” (Isaiah 9:6-7)
